Untimely passing of two Eagle Scouts

Thomas, Bob and Taylor Nunley

It is a sad day when we need to send news of the untimely passing of two Eagle Scouts, not only for the immediate family, the community, our Council, but also for the extended family of Scouting.

It is with heavy heart that we report the untimely passing of Joseph Taylor Nunley, a 2007 Eagle Scout of Troop 81, age 22 and Thomas Henry Nunley, a 2010 Eagle Scout of Troop 81, age 20. Troop 81 is of Uvalde and is headed by Vic Hilderbran. Taylor was also the Assistant Scout Leader for Troop 81 and was instrumental to helping facilitate a very successful Expertise Camporee at Camp Fawcett on April 20-21, 2012 as noted here: http://campfawcett.org/news/2012-04-27/expertise-camporee-april-20th-21s...

Taylor and Thomas died tragically on Saturday, July 28, in an automobile after lunch in route to their Coyote Ranch near Sabinal.

They are sons of Dana and Robert “Bob” Nunley, Jr  of Sabinal.

Please join their extended Scouting family in lifting up the Nunley family in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
